Afterbeet ("we", "us") is a pre-launch social app for the rave community, based in the United Kingdom. This policy explains in plain English what data we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are. No legal waffle — just the facts.
Your email address — only if you choose to join the waitlist by entering it into the signup form. That's the only personal information we ask for.
Basic website analytics — our email provider, Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), places a small tracking script and cookies on this site. This collects standard analytics information such as pages visited and approximate location, and helps connect your visit to your signup if you join the waitlist.
Server logs — like virtually every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically logs basic technical data such as IP addresses for security purposes.
Our waitlist counter stores a single anonymous number — it contains no personal data at all.
We use your email address to send you updates about Afterbeet — things like launch news, early access invitations, and occasional behind-the-scenes updates from the founder. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form. Analytics and security logging rely on legitimate interests — keeping the site working and understanding how people find us.
We will never sell your email address, share it with third parties for their marketing, or send you spam.
Waitlist emails are stored securely with Mailchimp, our email service provider, which is based in the United States. Mailchimp processes data outside the UK under recognised safeguards (including Standard Contractual Clauses). You can read Mailchimp's own privacy policy at intuit.com/privacy.
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe, or until Afterbeet's waitlist is no longer running. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from future emails immediately.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, withdraw your consent at any time, and object to or restrict our use of it. To exercise any of these, just email us — we read everything and we'll act on your request promptly.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.
This site uses cookies set by Mailchimp's tracking script for the analytics purposes described above. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to join the waitlist.
As Afterbeet grows from a waitlist into a full app, we'll update this policy to reflect what actually happens with your data — and we'll always keep it in plain English.
